Jesus is the light of the world. He came so that God’s righteousness will be available to us. He came so that through Him, we become righteous. The ultimate truth about Jesus is that He brings hope to each and every one of us. He came so that we may find comfort and peace through Him.

We may find ourselves often in the dark when it comes to dealing with our future. What are the things that you hope would happen in your life? What are your dreams, goals or visions for yourself and your family? We never fully know what will happen; but with God’s light, we can find the right path and we are comforted by His protection.

If you want to walk into a brighter tomorrow, you need to light your path. Identify the goals you want to achieve this season. For each goal you identify, pray in the spirit to help you achieve it. Jesus will light your way.

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” – John 8:12

Jesus told the people that whoever follows Him shall not walk in darkness. He encourages us to walk in the light, for He is in the light. If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.

In Matthew 5:16, Jesus said to His disciples, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Just as Jesus mediated the divine light of God to His disciples, His disciples were also beckoned to mediate Christ’s light into the world.

Are you committed to walk in the light? Do you believe that God will direct you in every step? Do you trust that He is under control of your life? Trust that He is able to guide and direct us in our endeavors. He is the light of the world and He is our beacon within.
