For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
Since man can never be able to remove the stain that sin made in his nature, God intervened and gave the solution. He sent His son Jesus Christ to become the sacrificial lamb so that the sins of man can be removed. Jesus became 100% human so that the curse of sin can be transferred to him. But his divinity was retained through the virgin birth so that he will not inherit the sinful nature of man.
The death of Jesus Christ on the cross disempowered sin. Because of the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross, man has been cleansed from his sins. The stubborn stain that cannot be removed has finally been removed from man. The bible said: “But if we live in the light, as God does, we share in life with each other. And the blood of his Son Jesus washes all our sins away.” This is the truth of eternal life – Jesus shed his blood on the cross so that the sins of man can be washed away and so that man can regain the access to eternal life.
