The Bible tells us that the world can work for us for so long as we do our share.
In Leviticus 26:5, it is stated:
“Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land.”
Threshing, or separating the grain of the plant, was done by the people in the fields. They would then harvest when the season was right, and then plant once again. The people at the time lived off the land –if they did not thresh, harvest, and plant, they could not eat.
In the Bible passage, threshing, harvesting, and planting are ways in which a man would be able to work with the world towards his advantage. He cannot expect the land to bear food if he does not do his share. Thus, in choosing to work with the world, you are allowing the world to work for you as well. The passage above shows us that you will have everything you need and you will be able to live safely, for so long as you do your part as well.
