If someone did you wrong, what do you do?
Some people tend to dwell on other people’s wrongdoings more than they should. While the person who has wronged you needs to learn his or her lesson, it shouldn’t be the cause for extended conflict. God taught us to forgive. The importance of forgiveness and mercy has even been embodied by Jesus Christ as He suffered in His crucifixion.
“Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.”
Luke 23:34
Despite His tremendous suffering, Jesus pleaded with the Father to forgive the people at Calvary. If Jesus was still able to forgive despite His dire situation, we can always find the strength to forgive lesser wrongs that were done to us.
Forgiveness Brings Benefits
A hardened heart brings no good to anyone. If you have been wronged, try to find within yourself the power to forgive and let go of the pain. Soon, you will feel much better because peace has been restored in your life.
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Holding a grudge against someone is just going to cause more harm to you, to the person at fault, and even to other people in the same circle. Anger and negativity can ruin your anointing, so you must stop letting these feelings take over your life. Focus not on people’s mistakes, shortcomings, or whatever it is that has caused you pain. Do not entertain an unforgiving state of mind. Be forgiving and merciful, as Christ has taught us.
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Be more like Jesus in all your ways. Achieve your alpha state of being, in the precious name of Jesus!
