God does not want His people to mask their beliefs. He takes insult when a Christian denies Him in front of others. In Matthew 10:33, it is written: “But whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.” 1 John 2:22 states: “Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.”
It is unfortunate that the world is not a kind place for the righteous. Many wicked people can be unforgiving and cruel to those who freely express the things they believe in. Jesus himself warned his apostles that because of their belief in him and in God’s ways, they too will have to undergo the same or a similar type of persecution that he had experienced.
Good Christians are strong, no matter what persecutions they face. They authentically stick to their beliefs and are not afraid to proclaim these in the face of sinners and non-believers. They are honest about who they are and what they stand for.
