Have you ever imagined a life without rules?
Since the day you were born and introduced into society, you have been taught certain ways of doing things. How to talk, how to dress, how to uphold yourself in society — these are just some of the things that were taught to you to follow.
We live in a world that is governed by the rules of men. An equivalent exchange is at hand. If you break certain rules or laws, then there will be punishment.
That is how we maintain peace. There is a law against stealing, killing, forgery and other crimes as we know it. Do you know that there are two particular rules that if you obeyed, you wouldn’t ever have to be afraid of breaking the law?
“Matthew 22:36-40 King James Version (KJV)
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
Love God and love one another. These two are the greatest commandments that have ever been written. If you followed this law, then the rest will follow. We will be living a life that the Lord wants for us. Sometimes, we are affected by other people breaking these rules and become victims. That is never your fault. God made these rules for us to follow so that we may have joy and peace; unfortunately, sometimes, other people don’t follow it. Do not look at what others do, instead, just keep following these rules and you will never have any regrets. Make God proud.
